The King’s Command

by

Rebelle and I are excited to be a part of Vision Baptist Church’s annual mission’s conference entitled The King’s Command. Pastor Austin Gardner is a dear friend and mentor to me, as well as head of our mission board. God has used him greatly in my life. I remember when I surrendered to be a missionary to Japan, I had no idea what to do or how to do it. It’s amazing how God places people in your life to help prepare you for what’s ahead. I praise the Lord for many of the people that God has placed in my life, and I would love it if each of you could make it to the conference this week on the 15th through the 18th. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD

by

Jeremiah 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Deputation sure is a lesson in trusting the Lord! I’m trusting Him for getting meetings, preaching, traveling expenses, support, and preparing for the field!

When you call 9 hours and don’t get a single meeting you start to realize that you have no control over whether or not you even reach the pastor let alone get a meeting.

Looking back, I praise the Lord for days like that. For these are great experiences for the missionary as he must move forward in faith and continue to work and trust God for the results! This continuance comes soaked in prayer, asking the Lord to provide where He has guided.

Then you have days like today where the Lord gives you 3 meetings in 3 hours and it’s like He is saying, “I know of your needs better than you. Trust me.” And so we continue in faith.
